Sideband Separating Receiver
- SIS 2mm: Currently this receiver is available for VLBI
observations only.
- SIS 0.8mm: The 0.8mm Receiver, covering Sky Frequencies from
approximately 315 to 365 GHz, was upgraded in the spring of 2007. The
existing hybrid dewar was outfitted with mixer blocks provided by ASIAA that
produce a 4-6 GHz IF. The new IF amplifiers are an NRAO design utilized in
the ALMA project. The double sideband receiver temperatures measured to date
with this instrument vary from 100-150 K. In addition, the baseline
stability for spectral line observing has been significantly improved.
- SIS ALMA Type 0.4mm: Dual polarization, (600-720
GHz), now available for
